Sharing our Gifts with Those in Need

In addition to bringing the community together, the St. Joseph’s Prep Thanksgiving Food Drive provides dinner to families and food banks in the surrounding community--a Prep tradition nearly three decades old.

The Prep Community serves our community in several ways during the holiday season:
  • Many parents, colleagues, and alumni contribute to a Food Drive via the YouGiveGoods website, which provides donate turkeys, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and gravy--all the fixings for a celebratory meal. These items are delivered to the Prep where students, faculty, and staff create boxes that will be donated to community partner agencies. The boxes are created at the Food Rally on campus on Friday, November 18.
  • All community members are invited to Mass on Sunday, November 20 in the Church of the Gesu at 10 a.m. After Mass, family volunteers will deliver baskets that they have created to our neighbors surrounding the Prep campus.
Volunteers are still needed to create baskets and deliver on Sunday. To register your family for this wonderful service opportunity, please complete this form. Thank you, members of the Prep community, for enabling us to fulfill our mission and reach out a helping hand to those most in need.
