Purpose
The Onyx Parent Group focuses on the needs of diversity, equity and inclusion and its impact on Black and Brown students at
St. Joseph's Prep.

Onyx meets regularly between September and June. All are welcome to attend.
Mission
Work collaboratively with the school administration, Board, Faculty and Staff, and Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion to support initiatives including but not limited to:

Increasing culturally responsive curriculum
Increase representation of instructional staff
Increase representation in student body
Ensure quality on-going DEI training and professional development for all constituencies.
Connect prospective and current students, families, and alumni of color to create and maintain community.
