We’re excited to welcome you for the first time or welcome you back to the Prep! Below, you'll find important information to help you get ready for the upcoming school year — including answers to common questions and details on how to prepare for the fall.
If you have any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the Office of Admissions at admissions@sjprep.org or 215.978.1958.
If you plan to drive a car to school, you must obtain a Prep Parking Permit from the Dean's office. The student's current driver's license and car registration are required. Parking decals will be distributed from the Dean’s Office.
Students will be issued parking permits for specific student lots through the Dean’s office. Issuance of a permit does not guarantee a parking spot on any given day - spots are available on a first come, first-served basis. If parking spots are not available for students in the designated lots, they will need to park legally on streets adjacent to campus. No student may park in the Plaza in front of the Gesu or in the faculty lots. Permits must immediately be hung from the rear-view mirror. The car must be parked in designated lots for students. Violators will receive consequences as determined by the Dean.
Welcome to the Prep! As a new family, you'll use Family ID/Arbiter Registration to submit your son's PIAA physical form electronically for the 2025–26 school year.
Here’s how it works:
Create a Family ID account and register for the sport(s) your son will play.
Prep students wear suit/sport coat, tie, dress shirt, dress pants, belt, and dress shoes (ex. Oxfords/Sperry's) daily. There are no color restrictions on their sport coat, tie, shirt or pants.
The results of the Math placement test – as well as the placement determinations from all other departments – will be sent out via email on May 12th. Now remember, these are the classes your son is eligible for his freshman year based on each department’s process. You will discuss the placements and what they mean for your son’s freshman year schedule during a Placements Result Meeting in May.
