Coaches

Curtis Cockenberg, Jr. '71 has been coaching at St. Joseph's Prep for over 45 years.  He earned all-catholic honors while a student at the Prep and went to La Salle College on a partial scholarship for track.  He is a former Glascott Award winner for Bishop McDevitt and was selected honorary boys referee for the prestigious Penn Relays.  He was the coach of the PTFCA (PA Track and Field Coaches Association) Indoor championship team in 2018 and 2020.  Recently he was selected PTFCA Male Indoor Coach of the Year for 2018 and 2020.  He has coached hundreds of all-catholic, numerous all-state and a half dozen All- Americans including the 2018 national 4 x 400 indoor champion relay team and PA state record holder.
