Corinne O’Connell, a nonprofit executive with over 20 years of experience in housing and homelessness, is a passionate advocate for affordable housing and community development in Philadelphia.
O’Connell serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia, where she became the organization’s first CEO in 2017 after previously serving as Associate Executive Director and Director of Development. Prior to joining Habitat in 2009, she worked with Project HOME in Philadelphia and the YWCA of Seattle.
A respected leader in the nonprofit sector, O’Connell brings expertise in strategic planning, board engagement, fundraising, leadership development, and program implementation. She is a frequent speaker and panelist in the Philadelphia region, sharing insights on nonprofit leadership and community impact.
O’Connell was recognized as one of the Philadelphia Business Journal’s “25 Most Admired CEOs” in 2019 and is a 2017 awardee of the Valentine Leadership Fund, which supports and amplifies female leadership in the nonprofit sector.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Saint Joseph’s University and a master’s degree in nonprofit leadership from Seattle University. O’Connell has served on the boards of Gearing Up and the Ignatian Solidarity Network.
