Well-Respected English Teacher Patragnoni Leaving After 23 Years

Longtime Prep English Teacher Christian Patragnoni will be leaving the Prep at the end of this year to take a position at Georgetown Prep in Maryland. In his 23-year tenure at the school, Patragnoni has taught every required course and many electives, saying he will best remember “teaching American literature to sophomores and the Shakespeare elective.”

In addition to his time in the classroom, Patragnoni was also the golf coach for 18 seasons (including twice in the same year as the sport moved from spring to fall) and won several PCL and district titles as well as the State Championship in 2015. He was also very active with the Forensics Team, serving as assistant coach and moderator with another Prep legend Barb Giuliano.

While he will miss the Prep, the opportunity to move was a good one for his family. “As I think back over my days at the Prep, there are so many names and faces that come to mind,” he says. “The students have always been incredibly kind, generous, and motivated.”

Best wishes to Mr. Patragnoni as he moves to our Jesuit brothers at GPrep!
