Mandatory Rehearsal for Graduates and Ushers
Thursday, May 29
Class of 2025 College Photo, 11 a.m.
Rehearsal for all seniors and ushers, line up 11:45 a.m.
Tuxedo pick up for graduates and ushers, immediately following rehearsal. 


Graduates and Ushers: Try on your tuxedo that evening! If there are any fit issues contact Stan Levin at Rochester Tuxedo immediately. 1-856-755-1466.

All tuxedos must be returned to the Prep on Monday, June 2.

Graduates must be seated by 3:45 p.m. Attire for Mass: jacket, tie, button down shirt, dress pants and shoes. 

Ushers dressed in their tuxedos to arrive by 3 p.m. and check in with Mr. Lederer upon arrival.

Ushers dressed in their tuxedos to arrive by 10 a.m. and check in with Mr. Lederer upon arrival.

  • Announcements

    Graduates receive a pack of 20 graduation announcements, envelopes and personalized name cards that can be sent to family and friends. Packs will be distributed in April. 
  • Arrival Time

    Baccalaureate Mass
    Students to be seated by 3:45 p.m. in the Church of the Gesu. Leave ample time for parking. 

    Commencement
    Students to arrive by 10 a.m. The Liacouras Center doors open to guests at 10 a.m. Further information about where the graduates will meet at the Liacouras Center will be posted as the event gets closer.
  • Attire

    Graduates will be supplied a tuxedo at graduation rehearsal on Thursday, May 29 which they should immediately try on once they arrive home to ensure fit. If any issues are discovered with your tuxedo, call Stan Levin at Rochester Formal Wear: 856-755-1466. Tuxedo rental includes jacket, pants, shirt and tie. Shoes are not included in the tuxedo rental. Black dress shoes are appropriate to wear with the black tuxedo pants.
     
    Baccalaureate Mass
    Graduates should adhere to the school dress code--jacket, tie, button down shirt, dress pants and shoes. 
     
    Commencement Exercises
    Graduates must arrive at The Liacouras Center by 10 a.m., wearing their tuxedo. Graduates will be given a boutonniere, St. Joseph medal and class pin to apply to their tuxedos; keep lapels free of other pins and decorations. Honors cords may be worn. Ms. Morgan will distribute honors cords to NHS members at the Liacouras Center.
  • Guests

    Baccalaureate Mass
    In early May each family will receive a mailing that contains one Baccalaureate announcement and 3 tickets. Due to space limitations, each graduate may bring only 3 guests. The graduate does not need a ticket.

    Commencement Exercises
    No tickets are required to attend the Commencement Exercises on Sunday, June 1 at Temple University
  • Length

    Baccalaureate Mass is approximately 1.5 hrs. Commencement Exercises are usually under 2 hrs.
  • Parking for the Liacouras Center

    Two parking lots will be open for the Prep graduation on Sunday, the Liacouras Garage (which is connected to the building). Entrance to the garage is on 15th between Cecil B. Moore and Montgomery Ave.

    The Montgomery Garage is located on 11th Street between Montgomery Avenue and Berks Street. GPS Address: 1859 N. 11th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19122. 

    Price for parking is $27. There is no reserved parking in the garages on Sunday, June 1. Parking is first come first serve. See the yellow stars on the map below for garage locations.
  • Seating

    Baccalaureate Mass
    Seating is first come, first served in the Church of the Gesu. Graduates will sit in a chair in the church aisle. Ideally, their family will sit in the pew next to them. Please use one pew per family. Brothers who are ushers do not require a ticket. 

    Commencement Exercises
    Seating first comes, first served in the Liacouras Center No tickets are necessary for entrance.  Accessible seating is available on the main level of the arena in the following sections: 102,104, 105, 106, 110, 111, 112, 114.

    Livestream video
    Two livestream links will be available to watch the weekend events--one for the Baccalaureate Mass on Saturday, and a separate link for the Commencement Exercises on Sunday. Please check the webpage a few days before each event. 

    Photos
    CADY Photography is scheduled to take photos of each graduate as he walks across the stage. CADY will contact you directly about the opportunity to purchase these photos. For families who may travel through Fairmount Park please note that The Roots Picnic is taking place this weekend, May 31-June 1, at the Mann Music Center at Fairmount Park. Expect road closures and traffic delays around that area.
