Von Eschenbach '59 Honored by the Vatican

Dr. Andrew Von Eschenbach ’59, former Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration, was presented an award at the recent fifth annual International Vatican Conference: “Exploring the Mind, Body and Soul,” a three-day conference that deals with bridging science and faith, and ends with an address by Pope Francis. Dr. Von Eschenbach received the 2021 Pontifical Hero Award for leadership in bridging the gap between science and faith.

 

In addition, Jesuit-educated Dr. Anthony Fauci presented the keynote address and was interviewed by Dr. Sanjay Gupta.
