Weeklong service immersion programs are available over Spring Break and during the summer.
The St. Joseph’s Prep Mission and Ministry office is sponsoring nine Service Immersion Experiences — two programs over spring break and seven programs running over the summer. The spring break option is designed for current Seniors, but Juniors may also apply with the knowledge that Seniors will have priority. The eight summer programs are open to current Sophomores, and current Juniors (class of 2021, and 2022). *NB - Students must have their previous years’ service hours up to date to participate.
Students interested may indicate their top three choices on the Service Immersion Program Form (coming soon). Preference will be granted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Students will be consulted before being placed on a trip they did not specify as one of their top three choices if all three of their selections are full. There are 10 spots for students in each program. Each program is accompanied by 2 adult chaperones. Forms are to be filled out by January 31st at which time students will be placed and liability and consent forms will be sent home to parents.
Below are descriptions and dates for each program. They are listed in the order in which they will occur.
