Our New President

The Jesuit Connection

When students at Jesuit institutions graduate, they have not completed their work. They have been told it is time to start the work; that they are ready."

Jesuit Tradition

Our educational tradition stretches back centuries, as we celebrate 500 years since the conversion of St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus. Our tradition of academic excellence comes in concert with over 800 secondary schools around the world, and 60 Jesuit high schools in the United States.

Contemplatives in Action

What we teach at St. Joseph's Prep is not meant to stay within the walls of 17th and Girard. As charged by St. Ignatius, we are meant to "go out and set the world on fire." Our Ignatian heritage drives us to be the changers and movers of the world around us.

Cura Personalis

A central tenet of Jesuit education, Cura Personalis (care for the whole person) illuminates everything we do for our students. In the classroom, on the field, on the stage, and in the hallways, our dedicated instructors are committed not just to the academic output but the wholesale growth of our students in mind, body, and spirit.
