Crimson & Gray Groups

As noted in the Academic Program plan, the student body will be divided roughly in half by geographical location to form the Crimson and Gray groups. This section provides details about the groupings as well as a zip code breakdown for each group.
Why are the students being separated?

This division will help the Prep ensure social distancing in classrooms and all other areas of the school. It will decrease the average class size by half, thus ensuring feasibility of maintaining the prescribed six feet of separation in classrooms.

Why are the students being divided by geographical location?

So brothers can continue to travel together to/from the Prep, and to maintain carpool ability for those in the same area.

Will the Prep continue to provide transportation on school buses and vans?

Yes, while ensuring social distancing as well.

What is the Dress Code on days physically at the Prep?

Due to health and safety guidelines, we will be modifying our on-campus dress code until further notice. The dress code for students and employees is corporate casual. For students and male employees, this means a polo or button-down (collared) shirt with khaki pants, a belt and a casual shoe. Sneakers/sandals/flip flops are not permitted. The shirt must be tucked in. The determination of whether clothing is appropriate rests with the Dean’s office. A student who is not willing to follow these guidelines will have to wear the usual coat and tie.

All families will be notified into which group their son(s) will be placed. If parents wish to appeal their placement group, they may do so, keeping in mind that the Prep will only provide transportation to/from the “Crimson Group areas” on Monday and Tuesday, and to/from the “Gray Group areas” on Thursday and Friday.
