Prep U

Get a high school experience and great exposure to St. Joseph's Prep, its teachers and unique academic experience -- all while gaining close-knit friendships and a Philly experience that makes the Prep so special. Also, experience daily guest speakers and weekly theme days!
Each day, students will have 3 core classes during the morning session followed by a daily speakers series, lunch, and ending the day with a rotating activities period (combo of clubs offered at the Prep from film discussion and strategy gaming to intramural sports like basketball, football, dodgeball, kickball, etc.). Prep U students will learn a lot this summer here at the school -- at 1733 W. Girard Avenue in Philadelphia -- and get a taste of what it's like to go to school in the city!

Summer Transportation

Yes, we offer busing from your neighborhood! We will offer busing "hubs" to make scheduling simpler and more affordable. We also offer shuttles to and from Suburban Station for those who want to take Regional Rail or live in Center City.

The buses run each morning from approximately 6:45 a.m. (depending on your pickup hub) until they drop kids at the Prep by 8:15 a.m. Then they load up again once classes are over at the Prep at 2:15 pm to head back home. Bus fee (see below) would be in addition to the Prep U fee, and you may choose a transportation option during the registration process.

Bus 2-Way Bus 1-Way Suburban Station Shuttle
$350 $200 $100

Depending on passenger load, your route may be serviced by either a bus or a van. For those familiar with the Prep’s transportation and busing during the school year, please note that the Summer program uses different routes. During both the summer and the school year, we do our best to meet all the transportation needs of the Prep community.

The deadline to register for Summer Transportation is Friday, June 4.
