Mission Renewal Update

 

Members of the Class of 2007 completed the initial phase of Mission Renewal in December.

The work of Mission Renewal continues at the Prep. Recently the Taggart Cultural lecture Series and the Office of Ignatian Identity hosted a lecture by nationally acclaimed author, Ms. Alexandra Robbins. Ms. Robbins is author of the 2006 book, "The Overachievers: The Secret Lives of Driven Kids." Approximately 325 members of the Prep community attended the talk.

On 26 February the faculty, staff and administration will participate in a day dedicated to serving our neighbors. This Day of Service is in direct response to the concern coming out of the initial phase of Mission Renewal, that the Prep community needs to reflect on and further explore our urban identity. The Day of Service will allow for reflection, service, and prayer.

We hope to publish in late Spring the results of the initial phase of Mission Renewal.
