CREW ALUMNI DAY
Prep crew alumni and their families and friends are invited on Sunday, April 29, for the fourth annual Prep Crew Alumni & Family Day. This day-long event, free to all alumni and their families, is held at the Rev. J. Vincent Taggart Rowing Center in the Robert Gillin, Jr. Boathouse and coincides with the Catholic League Championship Regatta. The day will feature alumni races from each Prep Crew era against other alumni boats from the rest of the league. Mass will be held in the boathouse at 10:00am, with a boat christening following. During and after the races there will be a casual reception for alumni, family and friends. The day is a fantastic opportunity to visit the boathouse, see old friends and cheer on the 2007 team.
This year, the crew is pleased to christen a shell to honor Olympian oarsman, Mike Peterson ’85, who rowed in the Men’s Straight Pair in Atlanta in 1996. His achievement marked another milestone in Prep Crew’s goal of producing outstanding rowers on the national and international stage.
