Philadelphia, PA (January 24, 2011): St. Joseph’s Prep is one of 14 local Catholic Schools throughout the Delaware Valley who partnered with 95.7 BEN-FM during Catholic Schools Week, a time dedicated to the enduring value of Catholic education. It honors the long-term benefits Catholic education has provided countless young people and society at-large. Building community awareness and announcing the success of Catholic education, Catholic Schools Week commemorates the effort and continued support of students, families, faculty, staff and stakeholders of Catholic education for the 21st century.

Schools participating in this program have been recognized through their over 95% success rate in graduates attending college, technology programs, a focus on service to community, and international education programs that equip students for success in the new, global economy. In addition to the Prep, the schools recognized through this program are: Immaculate Heart of Mary in Roxborough, Father Judge, Holy Child Catholic School, Burlington County’s Holy Cross Catholic High School, Saints John Neumann and Maria Goretti in South Philadelphia, Roman Catholic High School for Boys, Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Delaware County, Bishop McDevitt in Wyncote, Norwood-Fontbonne Academy in Chestnut Hill, Archbishop Ryan, Camden Catholic High School in Cherry Hill, Archbishop Carroll in Radnor, and Lansdale Catholic.

Each of the participating schools will be promoted through radio advertising on 95.7 BEN-FM as well as through a custom landing page.

"We are extremely excited for the opportunity to be a part of the Catholic School tradition here in the Delaware Valley,” said Mario Russo, General Sales Manager, WBEN-FM. "This partnership exemplifies the type community involvement we pride ourselves on, which ultimately benefits children in the area, and the importance of a good education."

WBEN-FM is owned by Greater Media Philadelphia, Inc., a subsidiary of Greater Media, Inc., the parent company of 23 AM and FM radio stations in the Boston, Charlotte, Detroit, New Jersey and Philadelphia markets. Greater Media also owns a group of weekly newspapers in central New Jersey and several telecommunications towers located throughout the United States.
