Yearbook/Tuxedo Distribution and Graduation Practice

All seniors are to report to the Prep on Wednesday, May 28 at 9:30. At this point yearbooks will be distributed and time will be given to gather signatures. At 10:30 the class will walk through the process of graduation day. The day will end with tuxedo distribution and a Senior Picnic.

 

Baccalaureate Mass / SJP Awards Ceremony
Saturday, May 31, 2008

The Baccalaaureate Mass and Awards Ceremony will begin at 4:00pm in the Church of the Gesu. Despite the obvious size of the Gesu, we have had problems with seating in the past, and it has become necessary to use tickets for this event. Every family of a graduating senior should have received four numbered tickets in the mail - one for the graduate plus three guests. While seats may be available for all in the main body of the church, they are not reserved. Families are encouraged to arrive early to find a place for themselves and their son to sit. Younger brothers of graduates who act as ushers will not need tickets. There will also be a limited number of seats available in the balcony. All attendees are encouraged to arrive by at least 3:45pm so that Mass can begin promptly at 4:00pm. Graduates should adhere to regular school dress code for this event.

Commencement Exercises
Sunday, June 1, 2008

Commencement Exercises begin promptly at 10:30am in the St. Joseph's University Fieldhouse. Graduates should arrive by 9:30am in formal attire (tuxedo). Since boutonnieres and medals will be provided that morning, please remove all pins from the left lapel of the jacket to expediate the process. This event does not require tickets because of the extensive seating at SJU's Fieldhouse.

Tuxedo Return

All graduates must return their tuxedo to the Prep by Monday, June 2 at 12:00pm.
