Thanksgiving Food Drive

The annual Thanksgiving Food Drive is an effort to provide approximately 275 families in the immediate vicinity of The Prep with needed food items. Throughout November, the CSC asks each student to bring in food items that will be included in a food basket delivered to families identified by local leaders as needing of assistance. Each homeroom will be assigned one specific item to contribute to the food baskets. The students as homerooms will deliver the completed baskets on the last day of classes before Thanksgiving Break.

2011 Homeroom Items List

The CSC is sponsoring the Prep's Thanksgiving Food Drive.  This list includes food items needed for a Thanksgiving meal, as well as some everyday necessities.  We would ask that every student in each homeroom bring in at least 5 of the item assigned to your homeroom.  These items should be placed in the basket provided by the CSC, beginning Tuesday, November 1st.  Leave the basket in your homeroom until homeroom period on Friday, November 18th, at which time the baskets should be taken to the Multi-Purpose Room.  After school that day, we will be looking for many student volunteers to help sort the items, which will be gathered into Thanksgiving baskets after school on Monday, November 22nd.  Thank you, as always, for your generosity.
