For students to take part in our daily community service program, they should meet in the foyer on the appropriate day at 2:40 PM. All transportation is provided by St. Joe’s and all students will return to school in time for the 5:20 PM buses. If there are any questions, please feel free to contact Mr. Sam Deitch or Mr. David Gullotti in the Mission and Ministry office.
Mondays
Inglis House
Belmont Avenue, Philadelphia, PA2:45-4:30pm
- Prep students will spend time with the residents of Inglis House, a residence for individuals who are wheel chair bound.
Tuesdays
Operation Incentive
17th & Thompson Streets, Philadelphia, PA
During Free Periods or After School
- Prep students will spend time with the students of the Gesu school through tutoring and mentoring activities.
Wednesdays
DePaul Catholic Tutoring
2:45-5:00pm
- Prep Students will spend time with the students of the DePaul Catholic grade school, located in Germantown, through tutoring and mentoring activities.
Thursdays
2:45-5:00pm
- Prep students will spend time with residents of the Simpson House and help orchestrate activities including but not limited to trivia and bowling.
Saturdays
Operation Swim (Remaining dates: April 30, May 14, May 21)
12-2pm
- Students from the Gesu School and DePaul Catholic are invited to the Prep pool on select Saturdays to enjoy swim instruction from Prep Students as well as various in-pool games.
*Note*
Prep students are welcome to tutor at the Gesu School Monday-Friday after school or during free periods. Any student interested must contact either Mr. Sam Deitch or Mr. David Gullotti in advance.
