Dear Parents and Students,
We hope that the New Year has been a fulfilling time for you and your family. Mahatma Gandhi once said, “Consciously or unconsciously, every one of us does render some service or other. If we cultivate the habit of doing this service deliberately, our desire for service will steadily grow stronger, and will make, not only our own happiness, but that of the world at large.” As the Second Semester begins, new opportunities present themselves to our students and our hope is that these opportunities inspire our students to do more. Current Juniors have been given applications and details on the upcoming Service trips run by the Mission and Ministry Office. Applications are due on the 15th of February and the school’s hope is that a large majority of students participate in these very worthwhile experiences. This year we will be offering 18 different service trips all throughout the country and beyond, including Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, New Mexico, Maryland, Louisiana, Alabama, Virginia, the Dominican Republic, and Jamaica) If you are looking for details about specific trips, please feel free to check out our Junior Service Trips webpage. For our Sophomores, we have two weeks of service offered this summer through Justiceworx in Trenton with only 10 spaces per trip available. Applications can be found on our website here: applications.
We hope that the students at the Prep take advantage of the many opportunities presented to them, so the world may become a place more and more committed to love and service. If you have any questions, please contact the Ignatian Service Office at 215-978-1968.
Peace,
Mission and Ministry
