Ixthus Retreat

Ixthus is the name given to the retreat team and underclass retreats at Saint Joseph’s Prep.  It is the Greek word for “fish” but is also an acronym translated as: “Jesus Christ is God’s Son, the Savior.”  Early Christians used the Ixthus symbol to secretly mark buildings that Christians could go to worship freely without fear of persecution.  We here at Saint Joseph’s Prep use the name and symbol to signify that the beliefs of Christ are alive and well and being practiced by today's Christians.

Seniors interested in being on the Ixthus Team for the 2007 - 2008 school year should submit the following application to the Campus Ministry Office by Monday May 7, 2007.
