Michael Gordon

Mike resides in Haverford, PA. He returns this season as a three-year varsity letter swimmer and co-captain with fellow seniors Chris Smith and Andrew Kelly.  Last year Mike competed in the 100 yard butterfly and 50 yard freestyle, achieving season best times and placing in the top ten in each event at the Philadelphia Catholic League Championships.  He is looking forward to a strong season this year and hopes to earn all-catholic honors, and drop more time in the fly and free.  Outside of the Prep pool, Mike works as a lifeguard and swim coach.

Andrew Gogola

Andrew hails from Bala Cynwyd, PA. He is a three-year varsity letter swimmer coming into this season.  Although also an excellent backstroker, Andrew “took on for the team” focusing on freestyle.  He scored many points for the team finishing 11th in the 200 yard freestyle, and 13th in the 100 yard freestyle at the Philadelphia Catholic League Championships. He also earned First Team All-Catholic Honors for his role in the 200 yard freestyle relay. Andrew also swims for Friends' Central Aquatics.  Andrew balances his swimming with academics and is a member of the National Honors Society.

Andrew Kelly

Andrew is a Senior and one of three captains of the Prep Swim Team.  He comes to the Prep from Maple Glen, PA and is a 3-time Varsity Letter winner. Andrew competes in the 100 yard butterfly and the 100 yd freestyle.  Last year at Philadelphia Catholic League Championships, Andrew finished 7th in butterfly and 17th in freestyle, swimming personal bests in both events.  In addition, Andrew was awarded the Most Improved Swimmer award at the end of last season.  This year Andrew hopes to be All-Catholic in at least one event at Champs.  In addition to Prep Swimming, Andrew is also an active member of the Cape and Sword Drama Society, the Irish Culture Club, the National Honors Society, and intramural sports.

Christopher Piccione

Chris resides in beautiful Haddon Township, NJ.  Chris is returning for his fourth year on the Prep swim team.  Chris swims the 50 and 100 yard freestyle and is always up for joining his teammates in either the 200 or 400 yard Free Relay.  In addition to swimming, Chris performs in the Prep band for four years and spends free time volunteering for the Operation: Swim, a community service program aimed at teaching inner-city kids how to swim.

Christopher Smith

Chris lives in Wayne, PA.  He returns this year as a Captain of the team as well as a three-year varsity swimmer.  Chris is a versatile swimmer, able to compete in any stroke.  Last year, Chris overcame a late season illness to have a superb showing at the Philadelphia Catholic Championships.  Chris finished 9th in the 500 freestyle and 8th in the 100 fly.  These results have Chris on the verge of earning All-Catholic honors this year.  Chris also swims for Suburban Swim Center.  When not in the pool, Chris can be found on the stage as a proud member of the Cape & Sword Drama Society.  This Fall, Chris won rave reviews as Happy in “Death of a Salesman,” his third show at the Prep.  Chris is also a member of the National Honors Society.
