The exam administered is the H.S.P.T. (High School Placement Test). Students will also be required to complete an essay at the conclusion of the Scholarship/Entrance Exam. The exam and essay will last three hours. (Most students whom we accept will score between the 85th and 99th percentiles on the exam.)

Registration

Letters of acceptance, waitlist and denial will be mailed on January 4, 2010. Students who are accepted should forward their completed registration and deposit by the deadline date: January 29, 2010. If the Prep's limit of incoming freshmen is not obtained by this date, students, as many as the Prep will require from the waitlist, will be invited to register within a reasonably prescribed timeframe.

Visit Days

Eighth graders are welcome to spend a day with a current freshman. The 8th grader must have an application in the Admission Office before a visit day can be scheduled. Visit days can be scheduled by calling (215) 978-1958. Visitation days will be offered the third week of September through the third week of December. Students are asked to report to the Admission Office at 8:15am and will receive a complimentary lunch. Students may choose from the following dress code options: coat and tie, sweater and tie or grammar school uniform. Students will meet with Admission representatives at the end of the day and can be picked up at 2:45pm.
